I have a text box that I have pre-entered text
example ="My Name is " & [Name]
Is it possable to format the [Name] section of the text to
display in bold.

No, not in a text box. That would require a heavy duty
ActiveX control. There are several RTF controls out there,
even a free one at www.lebans.com

In addition to Marsh's comments, if your field name is name then you may
have an issue. Don't be surprised if the text box displays the name of your
report rather than a value from a field named name.

I only know of two controls that will work on Access Reports Marsh, mine
and the control at FMS.
