Format view in word

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

How do I get the formatting toolbars to appear automatically open at the top of my word documents without having to go to "view" then "toolbars" then "reviewing"
It get very annoying every time I have to go through this procedure when opening and word document.

This is one of the little-documented "features" of OS X ‹ click the oblong
capsule at the right end of the document window's title bar to expand the
toolbar area. Click it again to minimize it for more vertical real estate.
