Formating a caption

I have a Word 2003 document which has a default font of Arial 10.
I add figures and tables using Insert/Reference/Cation and this is OK
but I want to have the captions in font Arial 9 and have them centered
on the line.

Is there any way I can change the format and justification of captions?
