Formating a Header Color

[KVS]

I am trying to fit a document on one page, because of
this i created a header for part of my document. The
first problem is that when the header is not selected it
greys the section out. I can not seem to figure out how
to make the head and the body of the document to be black
at the same time? The second problem is i do not know how
to make the header show if i change my view from print
layout to normal layout?

I would really appreciate any help that you have.
