Formating in a paragrah border box

How can i insert bullets and numbering in a paragraph border box without it
going all out of format? eg I have a paragrah which contains some numbering
and bullet points. When i create a border box around the paragrah it
separates the numbered and bullet points in there on box and indents them.
How can i avoid this?

Using Word 2000 on a Windows 2000 platform. Thanks for any help recieved.
Dont want to use tables or the textbox feature.

Each bullet or numbered item is a separate paragraph so they could
each have their own box border. Did you select all of the paragraphs
prior to applying the box border?

Try removing the border, select all of the paragraphs, and then apply
the border again.

Yeah it didnt work. I understand what you are saying about a bullet/numbering
point would be considered a new paragraph and therefore gives its own box. I
dont think theres anyway around it.

I'm able to apply a single border around a group of numbered
paragraphs so what you want can be accomplished. Perhaps if you
provided the exact steps and commands you are using and we can
determine which step you may be missing.
