I have a problem with a check box when formating paragraphs. The check box in paragraph formating, which says "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style" will not not checked. I have extra space lines in the middle of a paragraph frequently and have to go back and remove them. Then I look the check box has not remained checked. I never this problem with Word 2008.

When you make a change to a style ‹ any change ‹ you must check "Add to
template".

Otherwise the change will not be written back to the template, it will be
stored only in the current document.

If you have the "Keep track of formatting" bug enabled, the style may not BE
the same style, even though it looks as if it is. Whenever you may a change
to a paragraph by direct formatting, that bug causes Word to make a new
style.

Go to Preferences>Edit and turn it off :)

Cheers
