Formatting a caption width to match table - Quest1of2

Hi!
I am attempting to insert and format captions under word
tables in a long doc. The caption is has shading and must
be the same width as be the same width as the My problem
is this:

I am able to set it up so it is the proper height above
the table and has the left margin of the caption match up
to the left side of the table BUT the right side of the
caption goes to the end of the paragraph and it is a
tedious job to match up the right margin of each and every
caption manually.
Is there an automatic (per menu/macro) to do this?
Thanks!

Why not put the caption in the last row of the table (with all cells
merged)?
