formatting a cell into triangles

KK

Hello,

Can anyone suggest a way of formatting a cell so that when it prints it has
a diagonal line from the bottom left corner to the top right, effectively
splitting the cell into 2 triangles!

thanks for all ideas

Do just as Bernard says, and you will get your diagonal line..........you
might also want to do the "Outline" at the same time and here you also get
your choice of Line Weight and Color............and, if this is something
you would want to do frequently, you could record a macro to perofrm these
operatins to any selected cell, or group of selected cells.

Hi KK
Just a bit more on Chuck and Bernards info.....
If you want to put info in both triangles, type your text
in the top triangle, then press ALT + Enter, hit space
about 5 or 6 times and then type your info in the bottom
triangle.
