Formatting a spreadsheet

Is there any way to format cells in a spreadsheet so that everything i
in capital letters?

But if you really must

=UPPER(A1

You could use this in a side area on your sheet, or another sheet, and then Edit>Copy and Edit>Paste_Special>Values over the original data
