Formatting and Sorting

I set up an Excel Spreadsheet. The Sheet included
numbers. I wanted to sort the spreadsheet by thsoe
numbers. However, when I did this the formatting that I
had used was totally changed. For instance I had two
spaces between each entry. When I sorted the spreadsheet
each entry was lined up in sucessive rows i.e. no blank
rows between the entries.

How to I sort by the numbers but retain the original
formatting?

I think I'd stay away from inserting empty rows between entries. It screws up
sorts/pivottables/charts. You could add them back, but I think I'd just select
my rows and resize them so that they were triple height.

It gives the impression of double/triple spacing, but makes sorting easier.
