Formatting Cells

Hello all,

I am getting an error message "You have exceeded the maximum number of cells
that can be directly formatted in this view. You can only format upto 64,000
cells in a view."

All the text for new tasks now appears as an ugly hard to read green text
and cannot be changed..

Anyone know a way around this problem?

Wow, if you've exceeded the 64K limit you must have a real rainbow of
custom formatting. Just a suggestion for future reference, if you have
field cells with identical formatting, select all of them together and
then format. The grouped selection will only count as "1" custom format.

Meanwhile, it sounds like your file may be somewhat corrupt due to all
the custom formatting. Go to our MVP website at,
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm, and try one or more of the methods
outlined in FAQ 43 - Handling project file corruption and/or bloat.
Method 4 should allow you to get back to "square one" but you will have
to re-format your fields.
