Formatting color bars

Is there a way to systematically assign bar colors by anything other than
"critical" type differences? We have complex working relationships and would
like to assign color by resource, so different people can quickly understand
their role. I also need that formatting to stick to the tasks, so that when
I import projects or sub-projects the colors don't revert back.

Hi Jeff,

See FAQ #31 at www.mvps.org/project

Although the FAQ is titled "Customizing Task Bars - Project 2000" it still
works in later releases.
You may choose to copy the custom Flag field(s) from one project file to
another or from the selected project file to the Global.MPT file using the
Tools --> Organizer command.
