Formatting details

I have been using Word 97 since it came out. Recently all
of my documents when saved are showing all the formatting
and summary info details when I return to open them. It
even prints this information at the end of the documents
even if I cut and save the basic info into new documents.
Anyone help me with this frustrating problem please?

Go to....

Tools | Options | Save | prompt for document properties....

Check that box to have the system prompt you to complet
properties each time you save.

To print properties...

Tools | Options | Print | Document Properties

Pauline,

In the File Open dialog box, check to ensure that "Recover
Text Form Any File" is not selected as the Files of Type
window.
