Formatting errors between Mac and PC in excel

C

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I have created file on my Mac within Office 2008. In sending the file I have created to others, I have realized they are receiving formatting errors when they open the file on their PC's in Microsoft Office 2007. Some examples of the formatting errors: text boxes shrink and misalign text, colors of the bar graphs are completely different, etc. What type of format do I need to save my file in on my Mac or what do I need to do to prevent these formatting differences from happening between Mac and PC?

Thank you.

There's no "good" answer to this.

Exc el 2008 uses a much older display engine than Excel 2007, so there will
always be dramatic differences in colour and size.

If you make the text boxes larger, then the text will not mis-align when the
boxes change size.

If you use the "C-series" fonts supplied by Microsoft (names beginning with
"c", e.g. Calibri, Cambria...) they have been carefully designed to look as
close as possible to the same on the PC as they do on the Mac.

If you go back to using the "Standard Colours" instead of Theme Colours the
damage will be "less".

Cheers
