formatting figures into fractions in word documents or inserted ta

,i would like present fractions in a table in word. i want to format the
cells so that when fractions are entered as in 3 / 7 it will autoformat and
be presented as 3 over 7. i am aware that it will present simple fractions to
a point as in 1 over 2 but even with the inbuilt fraction formats, it can not
contend with slightly more complex than 1 / 2 etc what can i do to present
the figures as fractions? what can i do about the formatting?
