Formatting flyer for mailing...help.

Debi M.

I have designed a flyer in Publisher and I want the back to have a space for
a mailing address and the upper or lower half have content.
I had this option on one version I printed out...but now page 2 is just
another template of the first page.
I have the book Publisher Step by Step, but cannot find the solution in
there either.

I am using Publisher 2007 and my operating system is Windows Vista.

Can someone help me with this, please?

When you insert a new page, isn't it blank? There is a check off in the insert
new page to duplicate all items on page 1, maybe you are inadvertently checking
the box.

Are you planning to fold the flyer? Are you using mail merge?

If the flyer is to be folded, either the top or bottom of the second page has to
be rotated 90 degrees.

Do step three of the merge wizard by creating a new publication. You will get
more of an idea how your flyer will look.

Thanks, I deleted the second page and inserted a blank page. And yes, I do
plan to fold the flyer in half and use mail merge. I will take your
suggestion and practice a mail merge on a different document. I sure wish I
could find that template that originally came up, with half of it for
communications and the lower half for the address label and all of my contact
information down the right side. So maddening!
Thanks for your help Mary!

Quick update...I figured it out. I opened a new page and set up a whole new
flyer using the same template. Page two was exactly the way I wanted it, so
I simply copied from the orignal and voila there I had it!
Even comparing the way the two were set up...I couldn't find any difference.
Oh well...got it now! Thanks for your help!
