I am trying to figure out how to print a manuscript 2 pages per side, double sided so that I can fold it and then staple a bunch of these folded sheets together to produce a booklet. The layout I need is:

|
4 | 1
|
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
|
3 | 2
|

ANyone know how to do it?

My drawing above came undone when I posted the question. Basically the layout is for one sheet of paper. Page 1 would be printed on the right half on the top side of the sheet, page two on the right side of the bottom side (i.e., directly behind page 2). Hope that is clear...

Thanks

If you need to do the whole folding thing e.g. 8 pages of A5 on A3
paper, Omnigraffle is worth playing with. Actually, it is worth playing
with regardless. I use it for everything from Sudoku templates to
birthday cards, serious diagramming work, and as an excellent
workaround for many of Word's charming foibles[1] with PDF and eps
illustrations.
