I am trying to construct an employee schedule. It has 3
shifts. It must have a defined number of employees
working each day. I am trying to work a formula that will
tell me if/when I drop below my required minimum.
I have noted the shifts as 1 (for 1st) 2 (for 2nd) and 3
(for 3rd).
The formula must take into account extensions from each
shift (1-2 indicates a 1st shift person is extending into
2nd shift, 3-2 indicates third shift extending into 2nd
shift, etc)
I am able to use the countif and conditional formating to
to indicated my minimums using the whole numbers (1, 2,
3). But, I cannot work a formula to consider the
extensions (1-2, 2-3, 3-2).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
