Formatting HTML Code Frags

I've pasted several different html code frags in my site and they all work
wonderfully but I don't know how to tweak their formatting.

For example, I've pasted:

<a href="#top">back to top</a>

to send people back to the top of the page but is is formatted in Times New
Roman and I want it to be in Arial. How do I format a variety of code frags?
