formatting HTML documents into Word format

As a magazine editor, I frequently have to convert html
documents captured from Web pages to plain text, suitable
for printing in a magazine. I can use find and replace
for some codes, but most are not visible and tedious to
delete, such as Vertical Advance. Does anyone have any
suggestions?
