Formatting hyperlinks - how to do it!!

Andy Evans

hi guys,

for no reason I can think of my Word/Mac programme has gone from
displaying hyperlinks in the usual way, e.g. www.bowwow.com
underlined, to {HYPERLINK"www.bowwow.com"}

How can I correct this - it affects a whole document.

thanks

andy

Hi Andy,

click on Word>Preferences, View, and uncheck "Field Codes".

For future reference, always indicate the version of Word you are using, and
preferably that of Mac OS X as well, as this makes it often easier to
diagnose a problem.

Further to Michel's reply, you may very well have toggled the codes by
having typed Option+F9. You can just type it again to toggle their display
OFF rather than having to go through the Preferences dialog.
