Formatting hyperlinks in a TOC?

I've created a TOC with 3 levels and have selected "use hyperlinks instead of
page numbers." The problem is that the resulting TOC doesn't look like the
usual TOC - text isn't blue or underlined, although when I click on Styles >
Modify, a blue, underlined font IS the style selected.

Does anyone know how I can ensure that the hyperlinks are obvious versus
"disguised" as regular text?

This is just the way Word works. In an ordinary text TOC, the entries *are*
hyperlinked and can be clicked (or Ctrl+clicked) to get to the linked
sections. If you save the document as a Web page (*.htm file), then the page
numbers will be suppressed and the hyperlinks will be blue and underlined as
expected. Ironically, if you unlink the TOC in your document, the TOC
entries will no longer be hyperlinked but will still have the Hyperlink
character style formatting and will appear blue and underlined.

If you want to make your TOC entries more obviously hyperlinked, I suppose
you could modify the TOC styles to be blue and underlined.
