Formatting in a Table - Help!

Maybe I’m just burned out at trying.. and it might be a simple
solution, I hope -- here is my problem.

I am trying to complete a series of tables to display my findings for
my doctoral dissertation. I have created very simple tables using
word. I am comparing the data from my study with a national study in
three columns - one for elementary school level, one for middle sch.
and one for high school. In order to conserve space as well as for
aesthetic purposes I decided to use a diagonal line in each "school
level" box to split my stats from the national stats. It helps to
provide a nice picture of what is going on.

Well, all is fine and the tables look great... then I print it out!!
The bottom set of "boxes" in each table doesn’t print out correctly
-- my diagonal lines are skewed on each table. I have tried
everything and can’t seem to get it to print out right! In various
views.. as well as the print preview this image doesn’t show up, I
only see the problem when it is printed out. My brain is fried trying
to figure it out..

Help!?

I'm an accountant so I'm prejudiced but tables are much easier to manage in
Excel than in Word. I would create the tables in Excel then paste them into
your Word document. Since my Word abilities are pretty slim check help on
how to do this. When in doubt I do even short letters on Excel because what
you see is what you get.

thanks

Thanks Darlene
I have already entered most of my stats into SPSS and the "table"
that I am creating is just for my dissertation. Also, I have already
created all these tables then tried to print them. Thats when I found
the problem. I shared it with a guy here at work who was as baffled
as I was! It is weird, but I think that I can just work around the
problem for now. I just want to get this thing done!

I will even just DRAW my own lines if I have to!!!

I do appreciate your feedback, thanks
Melinda
