Formatting Inconsistency with Network Documents

Have new computer and now Windows XP, using Word 97 in a
network setting. Newly created documents and older
documents appear fine on my computer but when the other
two users pull the documents up on their systems the file
is a mess. copy is moved to different pages, text boxes
are moved and overlapping. HELP!
