I am having some difficulty with Word 2000. Beginning recently, every
time I save a document and then reopen it, formatting is not
retained. At the end of the reopened document, I will see some
gibberish characters and then what looks like formatting information,
such as:
Normal

\Chester Clippers Art Show - Press Release.doc
.....etc.
(The document name in the above list is Chester Clippers Art Show -
Press Release.doc)
Is there any way to stop this from occurring to my documents? I
believe it started after I backed up my documents using the Windows
backup utility. I may have had Word open while that was running - I
don't recall, but this trouble began on the same day.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you,
Kim
