Formatting Issues When Transferring to Windows PC

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have created a slide deck on my iMac, however, I will need to use my pc laptop to present at a conference. When I load the presentation onto the windows-based laptop the colors and backgrounds completely change. Cannot figure out why this is happening but I'm beginning to panic as I leave in a week and would not like to spend $1000 for a macbook...Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is the color scheme of the slides on the PC still the same?

Do you know which Windows PPT version is on the laptop?

If it's 2007, try installing and playing the presentation back in the 2007 viewer (which
isn't really a 2007 viewer ... it'll play your PPT back as native PPT, not convert it to
2007 format on opening)
