Formatting issues with grow and shrink

I thought I understood grow and shrink, maybe not.
I have a Label, then a text box that gets updated from the form, then another
label.
If the text box is a long word, it runs into the 2nd label on the right.
How can I prevent this?

As far as I know, when you select cangrow, you have to have room for it to
grow. You would have to slide the other stuff out of the way or set a limit
of the size of the box and I believe you have to do that in twips.
