Formatting labels after the mail merge

I'm sorry in advance if this answer is already posted
somewhere.... Using Word 2000, I created labels doing a
Mail Merge. After the set-up was complete, I decided I
wanted to change the font of one of the fields (for
example, first & last name). How can I do this on
the 'main' label and apply the update to the rest of
them ? I can't seem to get it to work. Easy to do using
Word 2002, but can it be done using Word 2000 ?

Hi Lynn,

Use Alt+F4 to toggle on the field codes in the mailmerge main document, and
then use Edit>Replace to find the mergefield(s) (copy and paste them into
the Find what and Replace with box and while the Replace with Box has the
focus, select Format the Font in the Edit Replace dialog (click the More
button if the Format button is not visible) and format the font as Bold,
then click on Replace All.

Use Alt+F9 again to toggle off the field codes.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
