Formatting Labels

I type the label in my document, highlight it, click tools, envelopes and labels, labels. My content appears in the window, but the formatting on the first line is different from the formatting in the document. I am trying to use Arial 14 for the labels, and the first line keeps coming up Times Roman 12. I have tried adding a buffer line above the label content in the document, in case there is a Times format code I can't see. I don't know what to do!

You probably have paragraph breaks rather than line breaks in your document,
which would account for the difference in formatting. Word uses the default
font (that is, the font of the Normal style) for labels, which is why you're
seeing TNR 12. But you can change the font of the labels by selecting the
text, right-clicking, choosing Font, and making the appropriate selections.

Oddly, I can't replicate this behavior in Word 2002.
