how do I remove the formatting marks in the document? i.e. paragraph marks, return marks, tab marks... I clicked on 'normal view', 'web layout', 'print layout' and 'outline view' but they ALL show these marks. This function just turned itself on in the middle of a document and now ALL of my documents show this
Thanks!

You probably pressed CTRL+SHIFT+* by mistake. Press it
again to toggle off the display of non-printing characters.

Also on your Standard toolbar is a button that looks like
a Paragraph symbol. That is a toggle. Click it to turn
on "Show/Hide" Click it again to turn it off.

Greg! THANK you so much! That did the trick.... although to press CTRL+SHIFT+* ACCIDENTALLY would be highly unlikely! I'm so glad to have it back to "normal"... thanks again!

Thanks, DL - I did not have the Standard toolbar in view, but once I did, I found the paragraph mark. Thank you!
