Formatting message using Word in Outlook 2007

I recently upgraded to Office 2007 from Office 2003. Previously I had the
option to "Use Microsoft Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages". This allowed me
to paste image files (Picture - Windows Metafile) from a large spreadsheet
into the message pane of an e-mail and compress the size while maintaining a
quality image.

This option appears to be gone from Office 2007, (editing messages in Rich
Text) and all of the Paste Options maintain the original size of the
spreadsheet image. HTML rendering reduces the quality of the image to
unacceptable levels. Is there anyway I can emulate the same function I had in
2003 (editing messages with Word) in 2007?

With Outlook 2007 you're always working with Word as the email editor
(actually a stub of it).
After inserting, click on the picture and select the Format tab. Here you'll
find the Compress and Crop options.

Thanks Roady. I had not noticed the compression options before. Ultimately I
think my problem was, I was trying to copy/paste spreadsheet charts directly
from Excel 2007. Once I saved the charts as PNG image file and then inserted
into the Outlook message in HTML rendering, I was able to maintain the
quality and considerably reduce the size. With compression my e-mails are
smaller than they ever were before with 2003!!
