Formatting Nightmare!

Help! Whenever I format something, like line spacing or
font color, the action is applied to my entire document
instead of just the highlighted area. Pressing the re-do
button will restore the document so that the formatting is
then applied only to the highlighted text. Any ideas?

Hi Ron

I have exactly the same problem with Word XP under Windows
XP (current edition). This problem has also plagued me
with Word 95,97, and 2000. Initially, I thought that
Office XP had solved the problem - but it suddenly
reappeared after numerous Word updates. I will watch this
space with interest.

Cliff, what kind of access do you have to the NGs? Because the right answer
was already posted on this thread, and I'm surprised you didn't see it.
