Formatting of Phone Numbers

In doing a merge in Word from Excel, the phone numbers
USED to come across formatted, until they changed
something in the XP version. So I limped along....

Now we are using 2003 - does anyone know if they have
changed anything, or provided a way to present phone
numbers in a (xxx)xxx-xxxx or even xxx-xxx-xxxx format?

Have you tried a switch in your mergefield e.g., { MERGEFIELD PhoneNum \#
"(###) ###'-'####" }

Replace PhoneNum with your mergefield name.
