Formatting Palette Flying Off Screen

K

I am running word on my iMac and every time I activate or select the
formatting palette it flies right off my screen. I have check screen
resolution, option key being stuck, and other things. Any idea how I
can keep my formatting palette on the screen where it used to be.
Thanks!

Google the group. You are not the first with this.

I often have a related problem where one of my current documents jams
itself under the menu bar with nothing grabbable to tow it out with.

My trick is OS X system preferences->displays, then set the screen res
to something like 800*600. That pops everything back into view. Grab
the misbehaving one and drag it centre screen. Set the screen res back,
and with luck, your formatting palette will be on the screen.

Google will also show you a macro solution for repositioning everything.

Let's know what version of Word you are on. I'm hoping that's fixed
before I plonk my money down on the counter for 2004.

if your real careful you can grab anywhere in the frame on each side (if
they are not hidden and move the mouse down until you can grab on the
top part of the frame (I'm not talking about where the pallets are), and
move the document window down.
