Hi-

I would like to customize my formatting palette but I can't figure out
how. I want to place the "add-objects" section on the palette. I also
want to make it opaque, so that I can see my desktop through it.

Thanks!

Hi-

Assuming you are in word 2004, go to Tools>Customize>Customize
Formatting Palette and you'll find everthing you're looking for!

Good Luck|:>)

Thanks for your response. I tried what you suggested but I only get a
screen that allows you to add toolbars to the top of opened documents.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Sorry it didn't help, buth here is the Help page from Word 2004

Customize the Formatting Palette
1. On the Tools menu, point to Customize, and then click Customize
Formatting Palette.
2. Do one of the following:
· To change the behavior of the Formatting Palette when it's not in
use, select the options you want under Behavior.
· To change the effect used when the Formatting Palette is opened
and closed, select the options you want under Effects.
· To show or hide Formatting Palette panels, select or clear the
check boxes next to the panels you want to show or hide in the Panels
lisNote The effect you choose for the Formatting Palette also applies
to the Toolbox.

If you are using a different version of Word, the only other thing I
can offer is to launch Word Help and use the search feature using thee
keyywords "formatting palette".

Hope this is useful |:>)
