Formatting Palette

Can someone solve the mystery of my disappearing Formatting Palette?
When I try to access it, the palette races off the lower right of my
screen. I cannot see it to use it. It's fine in other Office Suite
programs: Excel, Entourage - the problem only exist in Word.

Help appreciated.
