Formatting Pallette

MacExcel

I am using Office 2004 on my Powerbook G4. I use Excel every day of my
life and understand most of its ways!.
Just today, everytime I click on the formatting Pallette in the tool
bar, it opens and rapidly moves across to the bottom of my screeen
where it seems to just disappear. I cannot click and/or drag it back
onto my desk top. Nothing is there. If I re click on Formatting
Pallette in the toolbar it does exactly the same but in reverse.I have
opened different worksheets and still the same thing happens. I have
been to Customize formating pallette and the settings are unchanged as
both Genie and Fade. I normally would have the Formatting Pallette
open during normal working time?
Any solutions or do I have some strange corruption or bug going on ?

This sometimes happens when screen resolution has been changed (it also,
in a few cases at least, seems to happen for no reason at all).

Try this:

Type OPT-F11 to enter the Visual Basic Editor (VBE). Type CMD-G to open
the Immediate Window. In the Immediate Window, type or paste

Commandbars("Formatting Palette").Position = msoBarFloating
CommandBars("Formatting Palette").Top = 100
CommandBars("Formatting Palette").Left = 100

following each line with a Return.

The palette should then be visible and able to be repositioned.

This worked perfectly, Best to copy and paste the instructions rather
than try and type then yourself! it took me 2 attempts to succeed.
Many thanks
