formatting print layout view

normally have my layout set to print layout. however it seems that word 2008 has magically changed the settings for me and i want to change it back! currently the pages are 2 abreast rather than in a single column following each other.

Have you looked in View>Zoom?

Word will try to display each document at the size it was last in when it
was saved.

But there's a bug that is preventing that working properly in OS 10.5, and
we're waiting on a fix.
