Formatting problems when changing printer driver

I have a major problem: I have recently changed my printer, and I can
no longer print the many Publisher files I have, because when I change
the printer driver, the formatting is messed up. I have created about
15 styles, which are used throughout the publications, and changing the
printer driver makes both the font types and the font sizes change to
something totally different (font sizes typically change from 10 point
to 40 point!).

Is there any kind of fix for this problem, or is it possible to import
styles from other publications and change them back to what they were?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thanks for your suggestion, Mary. But the problem is not with WordArt -
it is mostly standard Times New Roman font, used at different font
sizes, justifications, etc., depending on what part of the publication
the text is going into. Perhaps I should also have said that it is
Publisher 2002 version I am using.

In the past I have found, like you Steve, that when changing the
printer driver in the past, even when the fonts are left as they were
originally, they will usually take up more space for some reason, and
the bottom line or so of text drops off the bottom of the page into the
ether, never to be seen again!

I have found over the past four years, that occasionally when printing
a file, for some reason Publisher will 'throw a wobbly' and create the
same problem - increase the size of all the fonts to something enormous
(40 - 50 point). The only option then is to abandon the print, close
the document without saving, and reopen it. Usually the second time it
is told to print, it will then print as it should do.

So whether the two actions that create this problem are caused by the
same bug or not, I have no idea! But I would dearly love to find a
solution. I would email Microsoft, but object to paying £35 +VAT to
ask them how to solve a problem presumably caused by a bug in their
software!
