Formatting problems

Ed Kearns

I have Word 2004 for the Mac, v. 11.3.8. When I try to use "Bullets and
Numbering" Formatting, e.g. Selecting what should be an indent sequence of
A
a
I

When I use the Formatting Toolbar, and use "increase indent," I get the
sequence
A
B
C

I've tried clearing formatting etc. How do I need to set up formatting to
make this work?

Hi Ed:

You need to apply an Outline list. You currently have a "Numbered" list.

The Outline list has nine levels and will change its appearance by level.

The "Numbered" lists have only one level.

Have you studied Shauna Kelly's site?
