Formatting Randomly Disappears in Word 2003

I've got a user that opens up a number of word docs and randomly they will
lose their formatting and just delete all the spaces. Words will just run
together. Not sure what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

It is a problem with the printer driver. Make sure that the user can
properly see a compatible printer set as the Windows default. If it is a
network printer, try deleting the printer and reinstalling making sure that
you have the latest driver.
