I was typing an email message and accidentally struck both the Shift
and Control keys as I worked (at least that's when it seemed to
happen). Suddenly all the paragraph symbols and a dot at every space
showed up. And not just on the email, it's in every text file! I print
out and bind my favorite fan fiction stories, so this is driving me
nuts. I can't proofread text with all these symbols. I've looked in my
copy of Word for Dummies, but can't find anything. Surely there's a
simple command to hide these symbols again. I run Windows XP and Word
97. Can anyone clue me in?
