Formatting task bars

I am trying to color code my task bars individually, but everytime I try to
change the color of one bar it changes the color of all bars in my calendar.
Is there a way to change the colors of the bars individually? Please help!

I've tried that, but only the "bar style" prompt shows up in the dialog box,
which changes all of the bars. I am working in Project 07...would that make
a difference?

Are you working in the Calendar view or in the Gantt Chart view ?

I am working in the calendar view, but I've tried making the changes in the
gantt chart view as well.

Eric,
In the Calendar view, the Format / Bar menu is not working : you just have
access to Format / Bar Styles... which allows you to set a systematic aspect
for bars.
In the Gantt Chart view, the Format / Bar menu allows you to change the bar
aspect as you want.
