formatting tasks for completed/delayed/future/ongoing tasks

Hi,
Is there a possibility to fill color in the rows of mpp? Our requirement is
to show completed tasks, delayed, current and future tasks using color
coding. I would like to fill the color and not change the color of the text.
I am using MS Project 2007.
I don't see the entries for Completed/Future etc in Format --> Text Styles
--> Item to change

Yes there is. Right mouse click on a row or cell, or a selection of
rows, and pick "font". Set the "background color".

Is there any way to set the background color dynamically depending on the
value of Status field (Future task/on schedule/complete/Late)

You can colour the task bars.

tells you how to do it for resource assignments, but the approach should
also work for what you want. You will need to be crystal clear about
your logic because some of the conditions you describe are not mutually
exclusive (late and complete for example).
