Formatting Text String (dd-MMM-yy) to Date (MM/dd/yyyy)

Looking for help to change the format of a text string...mailmerge source is
a .csv file, with date formatted as "dd-MMM-yy". I would really like to
convert this to a standard "MM/dd/yyyy" format.

A similar item was addressed by Peter on 08/05/05 (Merge Field Formatting),
but I have been unable to apply his solution to my problem due to the
different date format.

I've tried the following, but was unsuccessful:

{QUOTE { MERGEFIELD Date1 \# "00-@@@-00" } \@ MM/dd/yyyy }

Any help would be greatly appreciated

{Mergefield Date1 \@ "MM/dd/yyyy"} should work.
