Hi,

I have a heading which is spread into almost two lines. But when i generate

Please suggest me a solution.

Thanking in anticipation.

Are you saying that you want your TOC to use the same font as size as your
text?

Hello sanjay,

does it also mean that in your TOC the text is not complete and cuts in one
line? Are you really sure?

If there is text in TOC that is really long, then MS Word automatically puts
it into two or more lines.

But, if you feel that that is the problem, try to format the size of thet
ext in your TOC.

You can do it by going to Insert - Reference - Index and tables.
Then click on "Modify button". Then choose TOC1 and hit "modify" once more.
There you can set the size of the font so it fits.

I hope it helps

If you want the heading in the TOC broken in the same place as in the
document, then, assuming you have used a line break in the heading itself,
add the \x switch to the TOC field code; your line break will be preserved
instead of converted to a space (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TOCSwitches.htm). If the heading does
not contain a manual line break, you will need to add one.
