Formatting too complex

We are creating Word documents by using Visual Basic to
extraxt data from a database (Ration Requisite Pro)and
then populating the Word document. From time to time we
getting the following error:

"The formatting in this docuement is too complex. Please
full save the document now."

What is the cause of this and how can we prevent this from
happening.

The message seems to suggest that Fast Saves is enabled (Tools | Options |
Save). It should not be.
