formatting versatility of Word 2000 versus Word 2007 (MS Office 20

I'm converting a document from Adobe InDesign to MS Word so that I can more
easily convert that Word document to Mobipocket HTML. The loss of formatting
in the initial conversion is a huge factor. Would that initial conversion to
Word 2000 (what I currently own) justify purchasing Word 2007 in order that
less formatting is lost?

In other words, does Word 2007 support more formatting options in terms of
font and paragraph attributes than Word 2000?

I do not believe that Word 2007 will make any difference to the loss of
formatting in the initial conversion, or the ease of reinstating it.

In either version, the task is going to be simplified by the definition of
styles that provide the required formats and probably the use of some VBA
code to facilitate the application of those styles, some of which may be
possible by automating Word's Find facility if there are features in the
text that can be used to establish the necessary search criteria.
