Formatting

When my transcriptionist sends me a document in Word (we are both using
2003), the formatting gets slightly changed. ie. there is no longer a space
between paragraphs where there should be. It usually takes one hit of the
enter key or tab to correct the problem. Why is this happening and how can
we fix it.

Well, since you are both using the same Word versions and the same file
format, it is possible that the reason for the layout changes is the printer
driver. You may want to make sure that you and your transcriptionist have
the same printer driver installed. (You can do that without actually using
the same printer.)

Another possibility is that the document gets slightly corrupt when sent
(assuming that it is being sent my e-mail). A way around that may be to
compress the file, into *.zip format, before sending it.
