Formatting

Iwas using a word document and all of a sudden the type
turned to red and underlined in red. Then after putzing
around a vertical line appeared on the left of the left
margin. I don't know what I did or how I can turn it off
and go back to normal formatting. I tried to use the
Help option but I don't even know what to call it.

It doesn't happen if I create a new document; however, if
I try to add or edit the old document it the red letters
reappear as I type.

Anyone out there know how I can correct my dilemma

Hi Nick,

You've inadvertently turned on the "Track Changes" feature,
a way of redlining additions & deletions.

To turn it off, press CTRL+SHIFT+E. If you have substantial
amounts of text still showing in red, click Tools-> Track
Changes-> Accept or Reject Changes, and click Accept All.
